Where required, apertures should only be introduced into certified fire doors by the fire door manufacturer or an approved aperture cutting license. BG Apertures offer this service as an approved FAST Scheme member.
Within the BWF-Certified scheme provision is made for suitably accredited organisations to cut glazing apertures under quality controlled conditions. Specifically, BG Apertures operate an IS09000 quality management system within its joiners shop, and accordingly can prepare any aperture, which is allowed under the base fire doors certification
